Be Crafty

If you’re one of those people who enjoys doing crafts, there’s no better time than Winter!  And if you aren’t usually into that, now’s a good time to pick up the hobby!  There are so many activities to choose from.

Not just knitting, but crocheting, cross-stitching, sewing, needlepoint, scrapbooking, painting, pottery, beadwork, woodworking, jewelry making, paper crafting, candle and soap making, framing, etc.  There are many benefits to crafting other than the obvious joy you get out of it!

Stress Relief & Mental Acuity

For one, it’s therapeutic and a good stress reliever to keep active with creating crafts.  According to the Alzheimer’s Association the concentration and actions in the brain are very beneficial for you.  The eye hand coordination works wonders!

Helping Others

It’s great when you can enjoy a fun pastime and also help others.  Especially in the Wintertime all of those knitted and crocheted hats, scarves and gloves can come in handy for those in need!

Getting Stuff Done

There’s no better time than Wintertime to take those pictures you have lying around that you’ve been meaning to frame, and get it done!  You can also use the time wisely for the scrapbooking of favorite momentos.

And what about that annoying hole in your pocket or torn jacket lining?  What a great time to patch those up!

It’s also a great time to touch up those little nick’s on your woodwork that are annoying every time you pass them.

Thoughtful Gifts

Nothing better than to receive a gift with a personal touch!  It’s the perfect time to create personalized gifts for those you love.  And the gifts mean so much more just knowing the time, thought and love that went into making them.  And being easy on the pocketbook is just an added benefit!
